I have these: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s... and find them to be pretty comfortable (though high - the heel is actually 4" at it's highest, the 3 1/4" listed is at the inner part of the heel). They have a rubber sole and heel and though I wouldn't want to be on my feet all day with them, they're comfy as far as heels go, and very stable. They are last year's so maybe not available anymore, but might be a good brand for comfy chunky heels.

I recently read The Ocean at the End of the Lane, and while I'm not sure I have any suggestions for strategies in general, I highly recommend getting to the end of this one. It's pretty intense and a bit heartbreaking, so if you're like me, and have never quite learned that what happens in a book is not necessarily real, you'll want the tissue box to be nearby.

Thanks for the review of Aquitaine. I've been curious about that place, but have never tried it. I've been in the Boston area for two years, as of this past weekend, but still need to spend more time in different neighborhoods and try new places!

Thank you for writing your blog! I'm always excited when I see there's a new post. I've been slowly moving towards femme in the last year or so, and am becoming more and more comfortable identifying as such. Your blog has been so helpful for me in this journey, and I have found a few others but there are not many out there. I don't know any femmes (that I'm aware of) in real life so blogs like yours have been so incredibly important for me!
